The workshop offers you the opportunity to experience the whole variety of beer in one place. The interactive museum, brewing courses, beer seminars, tasting sessions and combined beer experiences will make your stay at the HopfenBierGut unforgettable.
From the grist mill to the fermenting room, lend a hand. Be part of the brewing process and learn when malt and hops as well as yeast are added. Furthermorne you wil hear some interesting facts about beer.
This will happen during a guided tour at the unique Museum HopfenBierGut.
Of course in between, there is always enough time for delicous culinary refreshments.
Our beer workshop offers you interesting experiences about hops, malt and the art of brewing in Spalt's hilly hopland.
Brew your own beer under expert guidance in our brewing course
You lend a hand from grist mill to fermenting and learn how beer has been brewed for centuries.
The brewing course includes:
Brewer's breakfast
Franconian Lunch with Bratwurst and pickled cabbage
beer sample
Craft beer glass for specially shaped for tasting
Brewing recipe and further information on hops and beer
5 liter keg Spalter beer
Brewing Certificate signed by our master brewer
Cost: € 139 per person
Duration: 9:00 a.m. to approx. 4:00 p.m

In the beery tasting hour special topics will be discussed e.g. what kind of beer corresponds to what kind of meal.

ProBierMa(h)l - Try'n'Taste with different beers and Franconian snack
Make yourself comfortable and try a selection of our spalter beers. The theory and practice of beer tasting with our spalter beer makers promise entertaining moments. All of your senses are challenged. SEE, SMELL, TASTE, HEAR, FEEL, beer in a special way. The ProBierMa(h)l is filled with beer-related knowledge about the variety of spalter beers, beer stems, raw materials, stories about beer and how it is brewed. You will find out what goes best with which beer.
Our ProBierMa(h)l includes:
at least 4 Spalter beers
Original Franconian snack
entertained by a Spalter beer maker, master brewer or beer sommelier
Cost: €29.50 per person
